Kartik Shahani is APJ Channel Chief at RSA

Kartik Shahani is back to RSA (a Dell Technologies Business) as APJ Channel Chief after a short stint with IBM.

Kartik Shahani has joined as Director for Channels for APJ region at RSA. After a short stint with IBM India for a year and quarter leading the security business, he is back to RSA.

Kartik Shahani has joined as director channels APJ at RSA in July 2018 confirmed the official company statement exclusively to IDG India. Kartik’s designation will be Director Channels – APJ (Asia Pacific & Japan) at RSA (a Dell Technologies Business) as per the statement.

Kartik lead India operations for RSA for eight years from 2010 to 2017 before he moved to IBM as director and leader security India and South Asia in April 2017. He also led operations for India for McAfee for over seven years from 2003 to 2010.
Kartik will be based out of Mumbai.

“Channels has always been important to RSA, more so now. The pace of change and reach matters. Channels bring with them relationships and the ability to architect solutions that are complex and not available with any one OEM/Vendor,” said Kartik on importance of channels to the security company.

“It’s an eco-system that wins not parts of it, “says Kartik. The focus will be on what is it that customers need in the Digital world and how we can get it to market the fastest. The critical part also would be on how we would be able to support it.” he said.

Some of the key priorities as per Kartik in new role are to look for partner leverage on the space outside the named accounts, to leverage the larger DELL EMC enterprise and commercial space for RSA and also build innovation with partners to provide customers with a highly differentiated solution.

An industry expert with over two decades of experience, he has successfully led senior management roles across various technology companies that includes seventeen years in security domain as the country manager for McAfee and RSA in India.  
Kartik started his career with Xerox in 1996.

Kartik is a computer engineering graduate from Mumbai University with MBA (Law & Finance) from University of New England.
