SixPivot has announced a strategic partnership with Black Marble, a UK-based independent software vendor (ISV) specialising in delivering enterprise-grace platform solutions.
Terms of the agreement will see the Brisbane-based business start the globalisation and expansion of the Microsoft’s partner tuServ solution, which specifically targets police departments.
SixPivot will work with Black Marble to implement tuServ outside of the UK, with Australia being the next market.
“tuServ will require customisation and core understanding of policing processes in each individual country, state and jurisdiction and the two companies have come together to bring Black Marble’s ground breaking technology across the globe,” SixPivot CEO Faith Rees told ARN.
“SixPivot and Black Marble share similar skill sets and are a great cultural fit for a partnership. The venture has seen strong support from Microsoft which is the core technology platform behind tuServ and the expertise of both SixPivot and Black Marble who are both gold Microsoft partners.”
Founded in 1997, Black Marble develops solutions across the Microsoft platform, from custom developed software solutions to SharePoint implementations and development.
In addition, the provider specialises in the deployment of BizTalk solutions, DevOps consultancy, Microsoft Azure projects and UWP solutions, including HoloLens and Surface Hub.
“The establishment of the partnership between Six Pivot and Black Marble to bring the award winning tuServ solution to Australia, is fantastic news for police agencies and first responders across the country,” Microsoft Australia public safety and national security industry lead Nichole Whyte added.
“With the majority of LEAs focusing on enabling officers to be more efficient and productive on front line rather than spending time back in the station entering data, the comprehensive and proven tuServ solution, which provides real time data and collaboration in a secure manner, could not have come at a better time.”
From a technology perspective, tuServ has been in use by UK police forces for over three years, allowing the organisation to modernise administrative tasks and processes such as ticketing and note-taking to enable officers to spend more time in the field.
Furthermore, the provider has built future products such as tuServ’s scene of crime application utilising advances in virtual reality with HoloLens.
“With tuServ, we really wanted to push technology boundaries to provide officers on the frontline a solution to meet the challenges of modern policing,” Black Marble managing director Robert Hogg added.
“In SixPivot we have found a like-minded partner that can help us bring that innovation to forces around the world, utilising the core strengths that both organisations bring to the partnership.”
